I'm an electronic engineer with more than 15 years of experience. After building and leading several teams throughout my career, I realized that there are many valuable professionals hidden behind a very bad resume. For these people, it is becoming increasingly difficult to get a new job, especially since their resumes are filtered out by the selection algorithms used in the Applicant Tracking System or ATS.  

Every time you submit your resume in a web form, you are being ranked by an algorithm. According to a study by TheLadders, a resume database and job-matching service, 75% of resumes are rejected by resume screening software, without any human intervention. A huge number of jobseekers are missing out on some great opportunities just because their resume is not optimized for the ATS.

After being the final decider in the hiring of more than 300 people, I have seen many resumes that are full of information, but lack focus. They are often too long, and the important information is buried in the text. These people are the first to receive a rejection letter.  This is why I quit my job and decided to dedicate myself to help these professionals, by providing them with the most powerful resume builder and optimizer they could ever have.

I strongly believe that a resume is a tool that should be used to sell yourself. The resume should be clear, concise and easy to read. It should highlight your strengths and your most relevant experience with quantitative achievements, and it has to be friendly to the screening algorithms. 

Being an engineer myself, I wanted a tool that provides a practical solution to the problem in the matter: How to pass the screening filter and get more interviews. A tailor-made resume for a specific job position is better than a generic resume, so this tool should be able to make variations of the resume quickly to make it as relevant as possible. And finally, the generated document needs to be easy to read both humans and the ATS. With all these goals in mind, I founded ATS Hacker.
